Esso Fun Days!
Esso Fun Days is being offered by PGMHA to female, new to hockey players! No cost!
Don't have equipment? Never skated or played hockey? We want you!
Registration, on and off-ice activities, information session, etc. taking place at the Kins as follows:
Girls born 2019, 2020 & 2021, register for one or both!
- Session 1A - April 11 - 0830-1300 (25 max)
- Session 1B - April 12 - 1300-1730 (25 max)
Girls born 2016, 2017 & 2018, register for one or both!
- Session 2A - April 11 - 1300-1730 (25 max)
- Session 2B - April 12 - 0830-1300 (25 max)
Closing March 20th!
Eligible and successful registrants will be contacted after March 20th. If your player qualifies, you will then be asked to complete one more registration form.
The Esso Fun Day program is designed to familiarize girls new to hockey with basic skills in a fun, positive and welcoming environment at no cost to the first-time participant. The program enables participants to become contributing members of a team effort, experience team spirit, develop self-confidence and experience a sense of achievement. Programming is delivered to girls so players can experience the sport early and enjoy the game for a lifetime!
Do I need any equipment to participate?
Basic equipment is required to participate on-ice in an Esso Fun Day, including:
- CSA-certified hockey helmet
- BNQ-certified neck guard
- hockey gloves
- elbow protection
- knee protection
- skates
- hockey stick
Additional optional equipment may include hockey pants, socks, shoulder pads and jill.
Off-ice programs will require the following equipment, at minimum, depending on the scheduled activities:
- running shoes
- athletic clothing
- eye protection – helmet with cage or protective eyewear such as goggles
- hockey gloves
- hockey stick
All new-to-hockey players will receive Esso Fun Day jerseys as part of their registration in the program.
These clinics are only available to registered participants of Hockey Canada
Successful registrants will be emailed the day before the clinic, confirming registration & rink location.
Only the registrant will receive the email - please share details with friends/family who may be transporting your player. Check you spam folder!
You can check your registrations at organization.teamsnap.com and login using the same email used to register the player(s).
Please have an emergency contact remain on site for the duration of the ice time.
