Hello,

The past few weeks have been truly unique with the significant change we are currently experiencing. We first would like to recognize the significant contribution that was put forth this season by the PGMHA players, coaches, officials, parents, family members and other volunteers that made this season so successful. It is unfortunate that the season had to abruptly end, but we believe that the correct steps are being taken to help provide safety to all communities.

We are currently moving forward with planning for next season with the anticipation that BC Hockey and Hockey Canada will permit hockey to be played. We are starting to accept registration for next season and fully realize that many people are facing financial hardship and are unsure of the current economic impacts that we could be facing. PGMHA has implemented an extension to the early bird fee, as well as a reduction of the initial deposit. We hope that this can help reduce the financial impacts and that this can provide something for all of us to look forward to, having minor hockey back.

Due to the advice of Canadian Public Health professionals not permitting large gatherings, we have postponed the Annual General Meeting until at least the end of May. We will be monitoring the advice of Public Health professionals and may further postpone the AGM if large gatherings are still not recommended.

If you have any concerns or questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the PGMHA executive. We hope that everyone is staying safe and doing their part to help address the public health concerns with COVID 19.

Thank you,

PGMHA Executive
